Coronation Street’s Asha Alahan begins a new romance<\/a> with paramedic Sienna next week \u2013 but when her date behaves suspiciously, Asha’s flatmate Nina Lucas makes a stunning accusation. Could Asha’s chance at love be dashed before it’s even begun?<\/p>\n

Ahead of her first date with Sienna, Asha gets ready with help from supportive Nina. And the evening seems to go well, as beaming Asha and Sienna later return to the flat, much to Nina and Amy Barlow’s delight.<\/p>\n

However, the mood sours when Sienna’s phone suddenly rings \u2013 and with an utterly changed demeanour, she announces that she has to leave immediately.<\/p>\n

“Asha has been so excited for her date with her former supervisor, and when it all goes well, she’s over the moon,” our Coronation Street spy tells us. <\/p>\n

“However, when Sienna suddenly leaves, Asha, Nina and Amy are all baffled. While dejected Asha fears that she’s done something wrong, Nina is left wondering whether Sienna could be harbouring a secret that she’d rather her potential love match didn’t know\u2026”<\/p>\n

Later, Sienna apologises to Asha for her sudden exit, and explains that she had to take her elderly aunt to bingo.<\/p>\n

Nina doesn’t buy the excuse though \u2013 and is horrified when she pops her head around Asha’s bedroom door to find her and Sienna in bed together! Nina rushes out, but after Sienna leaves, the caf\u00e9 worker realises that she can’t find her envelope of wages\u2026<\/p>\n

“Nina immediately jumps to conclusions and accuses Sienna of stealing her cash,” continues our spy. “Asha is absolutely horrified by Nina’s claim, and when Nina brutally accuses Sienna to her face, she denies it outright and coldly brands Nina a jealous ex.<\/p>\n

“Sienna storms out of the flat in indignation, and Asha is totally stuck in the middle between her new lover and her best friend.”<\/p>\n

Is Nina being too overprotective of her ex-girlfriend? Or could she be on to something, and Sienna is in fact a lying thief destined to break Asha’s heart?<\/p>\n

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
