Warner Bros. have released a new trailer for DC Studios’ upcoming horror thriller Clayface, offering a fresh look at the cult-favourite Batman villain ahead of the film’s release on October 23.<\/p>\n
Directed by James Watkins<\/a> (Speak No Evil, The Woman in Black), the film stars Tom Rhys Harries<\/a> as Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood actor whose life is shattered after a brutal attack leaves him horribly disfigured. Desperate to restore his appearance, Hagen undergoes an experimental treatment that initially transforms him back to his former self, before sending him into a terrifying psychological and physical descent.<\/p>\n The latest trailer leans heavily into the film’s body horror influences, showcasing Hagen’s increasingly unstable grip on reality as his shape-shifting abilities spiral out of control.<\/p>\n Alongside Harries, the cast includes Naomi Ackie<\/a>, David Dencik<\/a> and\u00a0Eddie Marsan<\/a>.<\/p>\n Clayface is directed by Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan<\/a> and Hossein Amini,<\/a> based on a story by Flanagan.
