Prime Video is removing Mr Morgan’s Last Love, a 2013 drama that stars Michael Caine and Gillian Anderson, very soon. At the time of writing (Wednesday 22 July), the film is available to watch<\/a> with an Amazon subscription for only another 10 days.<\/p>\n

Directed by German filmmaker Sandra Nettelbeck and featuring a score by Hans Zimmer, the little-known film follows a retired, widowed professor who lives in Paris (and can’t speak any French)<\/p>\n

He strikes up a friendship with a French dance instructor who’s half his age, but his grown-up children protest.<\/p>\n

As well as Caine and Anderson, the film also stars In Bruges and 127 Hours’s Cl\u00e9mence Po\u00e9sy, Weeds’s Justin Kirk, and All the President’s Men’s Jane Alexander.<\/p>\n

Despite the movie’s solid cast, critics show much love to Mr Morgan’s Last Love<\/a> \u2013 though audiences reacted more warmly to it.<\/p>\n

On IMDb<\/a>, the film \u2014 simply called Last Love in some territories \u2014 has a decent average score of 6.7\/10 from users. In a 7\/10 review, one viewer wrote<\/a>: “This is such a poignant and well meant movie it’s hard to not like it and its intentions… I loved it at times, but only very much liked it by the end.”<\/p>\n

Mr Morgan’s Last Love is available to stream for free with ads on both Rakuten TV<\/a> and Pluto TV<\/a>. You can also purchase it from Prime Video for \u00a33.99, which is only slightly higher than the rental price of \u00a33.49 that some digital storefronts charge.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Gillian Anderson will soon be seen on the big screen<\/a> in Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, from the director of I Saw the TV Glow and co-starring Hacks’s Hannah Einbinder, which has received huge critical acclaim already.<\/p>\n
