Prime Video is to release a feature-length documentary about Lily Allen after the success of her 2025 album West End Girl.<\/p>\n

The retrospective film will chart the singer’s journey from being the “Queen of MySpace” during her rise to fame to her life and career today.<\/p>\n

The documentary, which will feature interviews with people close to the 41-year-old, will be directed by Mat Whitecross, who made the Oasis documentary Supersonic<\/a> and the Coldplay film A Headful of Dreams<\/a>, and launch on Prime Video in 2027.<\/p>\n

Allen, who played two nights in Dublin earlier this summer, is the daughter of Welsh actor and comedian Keith Allen. She recorded a demo as a teenager and signed with London Records in 2002 but left the label without releasing any music.<\/p>\n

She signed with Regal Recordings in 2005 and created an account on MySpace where she posted her demos and attracted thousands of listeners.<\/p>\n

Her debut album Alright, Still was released in July 2006 and featured the number one single, Smile.<\/p>\n

She followed this up with It\u2019s Not Me, It\u2019s You (2008), Sheezus (2014), and No Shame (2018).<\/p>\n

The star also branched out into acting and made her West End debut in the play, 2:22 A Ghost Story in 2021.<\/p>\n

Allen is the mother of daughters Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 12, with her ex-husband Sam Cooper, whom she divorced in 2018.<\/p>\n

She married Stranger Things actor David Harbour in September 2020 after a year of dating.<\/p>\n

They separated in 2025 and Allen\u2019s album West End Girl details the breakdown of their relationship and his alleged infidelity.<\/p>\n

Harbour previously said the contents of the record “wasn\u2019t my experience”.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Variety, he said: “It was weird. I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that.”<\/p>\n

“I can\u2019t really say that much more because it\u2019s my private life.”<\/p>\n
