July 23 (Reuters) – Australian power producer Origin Energy said on Thursday that a \u200csecurity incident had resulted in the unauthorised \u200caccess and disclosure of some customer data. <\/p>\n

\u2022 The confirmation comes a day after the country’s top electricity and gas retailer said it was investigating a potential security incident. <\/p>\n
\u2022 The \u200cdata includes personal \u2060information such as names, addresses, contact numbers and account information, as well \u2060as affected customers’ financial information including the last few digits of a credit card or \u200ba \u200bbank account, Origin said \u200bon Thursday. <\/p>\n
