The death of Paul Hanley, Brookhill, Claremorris, is deeply mourned in the community.<\/p>\n
Proprietor of the Western Hotel in the town, he died peacefully surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n
Paul will be sadly missed and remembered by his heartbroken family: his devoted wife Anne and his six daughters Karen, Jayne, Katie, Michelle, Nicole and Jessica, sons-in-law Lorc\u00e1n, Julian, David, Brian, Mark and Paul, grandchildren Tom, Daith\u00ed, F\u00edonn, Tadhg, Cu\u00e1n, Aod\u00e1n, Chloe, Frankie and Billy, who he loved very dearly.<\/p>\n
He is also mourned by his beloved sister Bernie, brothers Martin, Mic\u00e9al and Niall, his parents-in-law Nancy and Gerry McGreal, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.<\/p>\n
Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.<\/p>\n
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Mic\u00e9al and Peggy Hanley.<\/p>\n
Fond tributes are being paid to him on social media.<\/p>\n
The board of management at St. Colman’s College stated: “He was a wonderful supporter of ours in St. Colman’s College and was always willing to help us down through the years in so many ways.<\/p>\n
“He was very proud of his alma mater and always held the college close to his heart.<\/p>\n
“We will certainly miss him and his warm, welcoming smile in the Western Hotel.<\/p>\n
“God Bless you Paul, and thanks for everything. May your gentle soul rest in peace.”<\/p>\n
A staff member of the Western Hotel wrote: “Apart from giving me employment in the Western Hotel for years, Paul was a great family friend. I will be forever grateful for his kindness shown to us.<\/p>\n
“His loss is immeasurable.”<\/p>\n
“He had such a generous heart and a wonderful personality. He will be sadly missed by anyone who knew him,” a further tribute stated.<\/p>\n
Paul will repose in Gilligan\u2019s Funeral Home, Market Square, Claremorris, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
The funeral cort\u00e9ge will arrive for 1 p.m. Requiem Mass in St. Colman\u2019s Church on Saturday with burial afterwards in St Colman\u2019s Cemetery.<\/p>\n
