BON Secours Hospital Tralee is proud to announce the launch of its new in-house MRI and CT imaging service from Monday July 27 next.<\/p>\n

Representing a \u20ac2 million investment in advanced diagnostic technology, the new service further strengthens the hospital\u2019s commitment to delivering exceptional patient care across Kerry and the surrounding region.<\/p>\n

By bringing MRI and CT imaging services in-house, the hospital will provide faster access to diagnostic scans, enhance patient pathways and strengthen collaboration between, General Practitioners, specialist teams and Radiology.<\/p>\n

The investment also supports the continued expansion of advanced healthcare services available locally.<\/p>\n

The hospital\u2019s new MRI scanner features cutting-edge AI-enhanced technology, including Deep Resolve and BioMatrix, delivering faster scan times, exceptional image quality and greater diagnostic confidence.<\/p>\n

Designed with both patient comfort and sustainability in mind, the scanner requires significantly less liquid helium than conventional MRI systems and incorporates energy-saving technology to reduce its environmental impact.<\/p>\n

The new CT scanner has been selected to deliver an improved patient experience while maintaining outstanding diagnostic performance.<\/p>\n

Faster scan times, intelligent motion correction and advanced image reconstruction technology produce high-quality images, even when patients find it difficult to remain completely still.<\/p>\n

The scanner also incorporates advanced dose-reduction technology to minimise radiation exposure while maintaining excellent image quality.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the new service, Ms Deirdre O\u2019Connor, Radiology Services Manager at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, said: \u201cThe introduction of our own MRI and CT services marks a significant milestone for our radiology department and, most importantly, for the patients we serve. These state-of-the-art scanners combine pioneering AI-enhanced imaging with faster scan times and exceptional image quality, enabling us to deliver an outstanding diagnostic service. By bringing these services in-house, we can work even more closely with our General Practitioners and clinical teams to provide quicker access to diagnostics, greater continuity of care and a more seamless patient experience. We are also proud to be the first private hospital in Ireland to introduce this innovative MRI technology.\u201d<\/p>\n
