\n\tKarol G<\/a>, David Guetta<\/a>, Ramones<\/a>, Grandmaster Flash<\/a> and the late Waylon Jennings<\/a> are among the music stars who are set to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the coming year. They, along with 27 other names from the worlds of recordings, motion pictures, television, live theater\/live performance, radio and sports entertainment, were announced at a press conference that was livestreamed from Funko Hollywood in Hollywood on Thursday (July 23).<\/p>\n

\n\tSinger\/percussionist Sheila E.<\/a> and actress\/model Ming-Na Wen (who both have stars on the Walk of Fame) announced the new honorees in tandem with Ron Frierson, president\/CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe star for Jennings is this year\u2019s only posthumous star. The country legend, who was voted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001, died in 2002.<\/p>\n

\n\tTwo of this year\u2019s honorees are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame \u2013 Ramones and Grandmaster Flash<\/a>, who was inducted into the Rock Hall alongside his group, The Furious Five. Grandmaster Flash isn\u2019t the only hip-hop honoree here: That world is also represented by Lil Wayne<\/a> as well as DJ Chalamagne tha God<\/a>, who is known as \u201cVoice of the Culture.\u201d He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame as a co-host of The Breakfast Club alongside DJ Envy and Angela Yee.<\/p>\n

\n\tEight of the Walk of Fame honorees are Grammy winners \u2013 Karol G, Guetta, Jennings, Marc Shaiman, Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, Lil Wayne and Cheech & Chong. <\/p>\n

\n\tKate Hudson<\/a>, who received an Oscar nomination earlier this year for her performance in Song Sung Blue, will receive a star 10 years after her mother Goldie Hawn<\/a> and stepfather Kurt Russell<\/a> were jointly honored.<\/p>\n

\n\tThere will be one double ceremony, honoring Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning<\/a>, who the Walk of Fame says are the first sisters to be jointly honored.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeveral recording stars are being honored in other fields of endeavor, including Cheech & Chong (for motion pictures) and Nicole Scherzinger<\/a> (for live theater\/live performance).<\/p>\n

\n\tScherzinger, who won a Tony Award in 2025 for Sunset Blvd., Jo Koy and dancer Roberto Bolle are the only representatives in the Live Theatre\/Live Performance category. Chalamagne tha God is the only representative in the Radio category. Fox sports analyst Jimmy Johnson is the only representative in the Sports Entertainment category.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Walk of Fame Selection Committee, made up of past Walk of Famers, selected these new honorees from what was described as hundreds of nominations. The selections were ratified by the Hollywood Chamber\u2019s board of directors on July 22.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Walk of Fame Selection Committee is proud to welcome the Class of 2027 to one of the most enduring symbols of achievement in entertainment,\u201d Peter Roth, former CEO of Warner Bros. Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said in a statement. \u201cThese extraordinary individuals have each made a lasting impact on audiences around the world through their talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft. We are honored to recognize their remarkable contributions and look forward to celebrating them as they take their place in Hollywood history.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDates have not been scheduled for these star ceremonies. Recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire. Upcoming star ceremonies are usually announced 10 days prior to the dedication on the Walk of Fame\u2019s\u00a0official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
