<\/p>\nJamie Duggan and Achara Ifunanyachi got the goals as Bray Wanderers came from behind to defeat Cobh Ramblers 2-1 at St Colman’s Park.<\/p>\n
The result moves Paul Heffernan’s side within 14 points of league leaders Cork City, after their 5-2 hammering by UCD in Belfield.<\/p>\n
Bray were out to extend their winning run to four matches, and their night started with Cobh taking the lead after a Rhys Gourdie pass was turned in by Adenopo in the 14th minute.<\/p>\n
That was met with a roar by the home supporters, after seeing their team lose their last four games in all competitions.<\/p>\n
It was an even game from that point, fought out in midfield as both sides battled for possession.<\/p>\n
Bray muscled through and were able to turn this into a brace of chances for Kyle Tucker, beginning with a tame effort that was pushed out for a corner.<\/p>\n

The set-piece was knocked down the midfielder and clawed off the goal line by Timothy Martin.<\/p>\n
The Seagulls equalised with their next attack, from a Duggan header off a Richard Ferizaj free-kick that was sent in from the edge of the box in the 24th minute.<\/p>\n
It was 1-1 at the break and the game restarted with a stunning strike by Rhys Kelly Noonan going high and over the bar.<\/p>\n
The Ramblers went on to win a corner, off a Luka Le Bervet cross sent in for a lingering Shane T. Griffin. Breand\u00e1n Frahill knocked that on for Adenopo at the back post, who headed the ball into the side netting in the 53rd minute.<\/p>\n
A Jamie Duggan pass played Tyreik Sammy through just seconds later, and his effort was easily stopped by an onrushing Martin.<\/p>\n
The Cobh goalkeeper then stood his ground to deal with a Sammy header from close range in the 64th minute, and the follow up was cleared by Frahill.<\/p>\n
The Ramblers won a free-kick at the other end during their next attack after a foul on Kai O\u2019Neill on the edge of the area and Griffin was denied a goal of the season contender by a stretched save from Rian Hogan.<\/p>\n
Bray\u2019s winner came in the 80th minute, off a shot from right in front of the posts after a deep cross landed at the feet of Ifunanyachi.<\/p>\n
The Seagulls could have got a third in injury time, but a neat counter attack ended in a tame shot by Conor Knight going into straight into the hands of Martin.<\/p>\n

Runaway league leaders Cork City suffered their second successive defeat as they were shocked 5-2 by UCD in the UCD Bowl.<\/p>\n
It all started swimmingly for the visitors, Hans Mpongo side-footing home the opener from the edge of the box but Killian Cailloce equalised on six minutes for the students. Ruair\u00ed Keating restored Cork’s advantage but then Charles Akinrintayo hit back on the cusp of half-time to leave it 2-2 at the interval.<\/p>\n
It was shortly before the hour mark, when Ciaran Behan rifled home a shot from 25 yards to nudge the hosts in front.<\/p>\n
