We were bet into Ransom Canyon last year, falling head over heels for brooding Josh Duhamel\u2019s Staten and the love triangle between his character, Minka Kelly\u2019s Quinn, and Eoin Macken\u2019s Davis.<\/p>\n

The show, which was teased as a mix of Bridgerton and Yellowstone, follows ranching dynasties as they battle it out for survival with a healthy helping of romance and music on the side.<\/p>\n

The show has just returned to Netflix for its second season, but we’re missing one of those major players, leaving us wondering: just where has Irish actor Eoin gone?<\/p>\n

Eoin was missing from the action-packed trailer for season two, which teases lots of new faces in Ransom and includes two celeb cameos from country music stars Jordan Davis and Thomas Rhett.<\/p>\n

Now that the first episode of Ransom Canyon season two is out in the world, we know how Davis’ absence is being explained.<\/p>\n

In a pretty throwaway comment, Quinn, who was romantically involved with him last series before going back to New York, mentions how he’s rekindled things with his ex-wife and they’ve moved away. <\/p>\n

Although Eoin wasn’t in the teaser and won’t be in season two, there still seems to be a twist on the road to love for Staten and Quinn as she\u2019s seen with another man.<\/p>\n

Adding to the drama, her mum returns to town with hopes of selling the family’s home – and Quinn and her sister are less than impressed at the idea. <\/p>\n

Another major storyline looking likely to play out properly in season two is that of Lauren and Kit, her boyfriend Lucas’ brother, who was also involved with her estranged mum in the first series.<\/p>\n

A teaser reads: ‘The future of Ransom Canyon hangs in the balance as ranching dynasties continue to vie for power, and new faces arrive, threatening the lives and loves of this quaint, western town.’<\/p>\n

Ransom Canyon’s return was confirmed<\/a> in 2025, with show creator April Blair telling Tudum: ‘I couldn’t be happier that Netflix is ready to get back in the saddle for Ransom Canyon.<\/p>\n

‘Our dreamy little corner of Texas Hill Country is full of stories still untold, and we can\u2019t wait to bring them to our incredible fans. Get ready for another ride.’<\/p>\n

Deadline reported in September that Eoin and his on-screen son, Reid, who was played by Andrew Liner, would not be back for season two.<\/p>\n
