A man has been charged by garda\u00ed in relation to an investigation into the discovery a bomb in a car in Co Monaghan earlier this week.<\/p>\n
The car was stopped while travelling on the N2 south of Carrickmacross on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The man, in his 40s, will appear before the Special Criminal Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 8.15pm this evening.<\/p>\n
It follows a 25-year-old woman being charged in relation to the same incident yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
Isobella Perrie Sullivan, a law student, with an address at Abbeylands Park in Clane, Co Kildare, was charged with the possession of explosives at a special sitting of Trim District Court.<\/p>\n
Ms Perrie Sullivan was remanded in custody with consent to bail which will be heard at Monaghan District Court on Monday.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed say investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
