A new season of Granite Harbour has landed on BBC iPlayer<\/a>. The third season of the Scotland-set crime drama is available to watch now on the streaming service, along with the first two seasons. <\/p>\n

The three-episode season sees Holby City<\/a> and Eastenders<\/a> star Dawn Steele back as Major Investigation Team boss DCI Cora MacMillan. Romario Simpson also reprises his role as Detective Constable Davis Lindo, alongside Hannah Donaldson as DS Lara “Bart” Bartlett.<\/p>\n

Joining the cast for the third season are Traces star John Gordon Sinclair, Motherland’s Ellie Haddington and Vigil’s Alastair Mackenzie. The trio play Chief Constable Alan Willis, Rose Gough and Richard Loughty, respectively.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the latest instalment in September, Simpson said<\/a> that the team would be “confronted with a gripping new case set in the traveller community,” adding: “It’s going to be intense!”<\/p>\n

We now know that case will revolve around the brutal slaying of teenager Lisa Sterling, who is found dead at the bottom of a ravine after a party on a prestigious estate. The estate’s owner, Richard Loughty, seems charming, but does he know more than he’s letting on?<\/p>\n

Steele also teased that the season will “delve much more into the detectives’ personal lives”, with the actor noting: “It’s probably the most emotional [season] we’ve made, and you really feel for a lot of the characters.”<\/p>\n

Mackenzie, who previously starred opposite Steele in Monarch of the Glen, described his character as a “charming and well-respected” man “who seems to be very charitable to all and sundry, especially the local traveller community who live on his land”.<\/p>\n

The actor teased further: “Cracks begin to appear in this charming veneer of his when sketchy things start happening on his estate and, without giving to much away, things go from bad to worse for him. Maybe there\u2019s more to him than meets the eye.”
