He made his senior debut for the side in May, coming on as a substitute and getting an assist in a 5-0 friendly victory against <a href=\"https:\/\/extra.ie\/2026\/05\/17\/sport\/ireland-debutant-steals-show\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grenada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 26-year-old winger began his youth career at Esker Celtic, before moving on to St Francis and then joining Bury FC as a 14-year-old.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Untitled-design-2026-07-26T133824.148.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1796036\"  \/>Millenic Alli when playing for Luton Town. Pic: Stuart Leggett | MI News\/NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After playing for teams across English non-league football, the Dubliner had his breakthrough with Exeter City, scoring 16 goals in 43 games before making the move to Luton Town at the end of January 2025, and spent the second half of last season on loan with Portsmouth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on his move, reportedly worth \u00a31.5 million, Alli said: \u2018I\u2019m happy to be here and can\u2019t wait to get started, have a good time and show what I can do.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018The club\u2019s goals are the exact same as mine, so we\u2019re really trying to push this season and do the best we can. I can\u2019t wait to play in front of the fans at The Valley and get them cheering and on their feet. We want to evolve and to get better year in and year out \u2013 we\u2019ve identified certain elements that we\u2019ve needed, in terms of that player that can be one-v-one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018He\u2019s shown he can be a real potent threat at Championship level.
