EastEnders’ Chelsea Fox will face another “emotional rollercoaster” next week, as her murderous ex Gray Atkins continues to scheme about their son Jordan<\/a>. Though the villain is currently behind bars, he has been receiving updates from his grandma Sheila<\/a>, who has managed to muscle her way into Jordan’s life. <\/p>\n

Sheila first arrived in Walford when Libby Fox secretly contacted her, hoping she could help out financially after Jordan’s accident<\/a>. Chelsea was horrified by her sister’s actions but ultimately allowed Sheila to meet her great-grandson.<\/p>\n

“Chelsea felt she had done everything she could to satisfy herself that Sheila could be trusted. Ultimately, Sheila is Jordan’s family and someone who could support his recovery and wellbeing,” explained Zaraah Abrahams, who plays Chelsea. <\/p>\n

“While money wasn’t the deciding factor, the financial support Sheila could provide certainly swayed Chelsea. Libby also encouraged her to look at the situation from every angle and acted as a trusted sounding board throughout.” <\/p>\n

It wasn’t long before Denise<\/a> and the rest of the family discovered who Sheila was and demanded she left Jordan alone. However, upcoming episodes see her returning to the Square before Chelsea regretfully admits the part she played in Jordan’s hit-and-run<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As always, Sheila soon relays the information to Gray, but is left unsettled by his reaction. Later, the villain launches a scheme from prison, resulting in a huge commotion on the wing. But what exactly does he have planned?<\/p>\n

Speaking about the “emotional rollercoaster”, Abrahams teased “plenty of twists and turns ahead” for her character. <\/p>\n

“As the consequences of her actions continue to unfold, Chelsea will be forced to face some difficult truths and make tough choices,” she added. <\/p>\n

The actor shared that Chelsea will be “completely blindsided” if she learns that Sheila is still in contact with Gray, adding: “She’ll feel shocked, hurt and betrayed, but also angry with herself for trusting Sheila and taking the risk of letting her into their lives.”<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.<\/p>\n
