A man has been charged after an eight-year-old girl and a man were seriously injured in a collision in Co Tyrone.<\/p>\n
The crash involved a van and a quad bike on the Edergole Road in Omagh before 7.05pm yesterday.<\/p>\n
Chief Inspector McConville said the driver of the Peugeot Partner van, a 26-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.<\/p>\n
Police said a 26-year-old man had been charged with driving with excess alcohol in breath, two counts of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving, and a number of other related offences.<\/p>\n
He is to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.<\/p>\n
“A man, aged in his 40s, and eight-year-old female child, both sustained serious injuries and were taken onward to hospital for further treatment,” Mr McConville said.<\/p>\n
“The driver of the van, a 26-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of offences including driving with excess alcohol in breath and causing grievous bodily injury by driving carelessly with excess alcohol.”<\/p>\n
