Emmerdale newcomer Casey Al-Shaqsy<\/a> has spoken about Serena Sugden’s second attempt to steal vital information from Home Farm.<\/p>\n

Serena sneaks back into the mansion this week, after previously stealing a USB stick<\/a> that failed to reveal anything useful.<\/p>\n

In tense scenes, Serena forces her way inside again but is stunned to come face-to-face with Kev Barton’s criminal pal Steve<\/a>, who’s also hoping to raid the place.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Serena’s bold behaviour, Casey confirmed: “I don’t think she’s scared of anybody! She has quite an aggressive background in the police force \u2013 she talks to Robert and others about some of her famous fighting stories.<\/p>\n

“As a person, I actually do kickboxing as well, so I relate to her in that way! But I don’t think she’s afraid of anyone. The only worry she has about being caught is that she’s lied so much. As I like to say, it’s not really lying \u2013 it’s just not telling the full truth.<\/p>\n

“But her being caught at Home Farm \u2013 after lying about being in the police, not disclosing how much she knew John, finding the photos, and keeping Charity\u2019s secrets \u2013 feels like just another secret to add to the pile.<\/p>\n

“It could get her into more trouble with her family, which is a problem for her. But she’s doing it for what she believes are good reasons. Not everyone will see it that way, and people will have different opinions, but she thinks she’s doing the right thing. She is only afraid of the problems she might cause for herself and her family if she’s caught.”<\/p>\n

When Serena and Steve come face-to-face, there’s a chance that they could end up keeping each other’s secrets.<\/p>\n

However, things get even more complicated when Ross Barton walks in and Steve decides to take drastic action\u2026<\/p>\n

Casey continued: “Obviously, she tries to cover it up, saying to Steve ‘I live here’, all while wearing her gloves. The minute I noticed that, I realised I’d put my hands directly behind my back \u2013 like, ‘Don’t look at the fact that I have gloves on!’<\/p>\n

“Also, she saw the door was broken into, so I think she was already prepared to see someone who’d forced their way in. She was wary of the fact that someone could have been there.<\/p>\n

“But as a person, after Steve hits Ross, she has this moment of conflict, which you’ll see. She’s thinking, ‘Do I help Ross, or do I make a run for it?’ In that split second, she’s considering the fallout if she gets caught.<\/p>\n

“Like I said, regarding her family finding out, she doesn’t want the spotlight on her again or to be asked questions. She\u2019s already squashed all that. I think in that moment, she selfishly chooses herself and tries to make a run for it. Obviously, she wants to distance herself from him, like, ‘I don’t know who this guy is, I\u2019ve never seen him before in my life!'”<\/p>\n
