A local company is seeking alterations to an existing planning permission to include the infilling of lands near Letterkenny with Defective Concrete Block (DCB) waste.<\/p>\n
Moyle Plant Ltd is seeking the changes to include permission to accept concrete and demolition waste, including DCB waste arising from construction sites. The site in question is at Ballymacool extends to 4.7 hectares (11.6 acres).<\/p>\n
According to documents lodged with the application, the director of Moyle Plant Ltd is Anthony Cassidy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Permission was originally granted in 2017 to permit the site to be filled, and again in 2024, and a waste facility permit has also been granted for the site and is still operational.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The latest application will allow for the levels to be raised and covered with topsoil so that the lands can then be utilised as \u2018better quality agricultural lands.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Prior to any material being accepted onto the site there are a number of processes which must be gone through, the application stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMoyle Plant limited endeavours to adhere to best standards within the site and ensure that the site is well run, that the site is kept clean and that house keeping is impeccable,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
