A year is a long time to sit with a design you\u2019ve already shown the world. And Bandit9 decided to use that time to reconsider basically every surface on its coachbuilt Monster 821, starting with the finish everyone photographed.<\/p>\n

The mirror polish is now completely gone, and the carbon has become standard equipment. And, of course, the price has also gone up as well. Say hello to the production-spec 2026 Bandit9 Ducati 821.<\/p>\n

\nBrushed, Not Buffed<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s bike was covered in a mirror polish. And while it was a finish that looked incredible under studio lighting, it unfortunately turns into a fingerprint mess the second anyone touches it in the real world.<\/p>\n

The production spec goes hand-brushed instead, with the grain running horizontally across every compound curve of that enormous front cowl. Mirror polish is still on the menu if you want it, but brushed is the hero finish for the production version.<\/p>\n

\nThe Carbon Isn\u2019t an Upsell Anymore<\/p>\n

Carbon used to be a box you ticked on the order form. On the 2026 bike it really defines the architecture, with the gloss weave taking over behind the tank and sweeping rearward into a cantilevered tail that appears to float.<\/p>\n

The material split follows the bike\u2019s geometry seamlessly, and feels natural to the silhouette. A continuous LED strip hides under the tail\u2019s lower edge, and the indicators disappear into the weave until you actually need to use them.<\/p>\n

\nStill a Monster Underneath<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, nothing mechanical has changed here. The 821cc Testastretta 11\u00b0 L-twin still makes 110 bhp and 65.8 lb-ft, still hits 60 in 3.3 seconds, and still runs out of road at 125 mph.<\/p>\n

Sachs handles both ends, Brembo monobloc radials clamp twin 320mm discs, and dry weight sits at 386 pounds. Bandit9 deliberately left the rear shock, single-sided swingarm, and trellis frame exposed.<\/p>\n

Look closer and you find where the hours went. The billet upper triple clamp swallows the steering stem, fork caps, and a tiny recessed digital readout into one machined piece.<\/p>\n

The Bandit9 Ducati 821 is priced at $49,900 plus shipping, up five grand from last year\u2019s ask, with orders placed directly through Bandit9 and payment split across three stages. Build times run six to eight months.<\/p>\n
