EastEnders’ Kathy Beale is set to fuel the ongoing tensions between her family and the Fox-Trueman clan, as Ian’s hit-and-run incident comes to a head<\/a>. The feisty matriarch takes matters into her own hands – quite literally – with Chelsea Fox in the firing line. <\/p>\n

Viewers know that Ian accidentally reversed into Chelsea’s son Jordan after Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall’s wedding. Though he claimed he only had one drink, the breathalyser declared him over the limit, and he was taken in for questioning.<\/p>\n

Though furious at Ian for landing her son in hospital, Chelsea couldn’t shake her own guilt<\/a> surrounding the situation, as she had shouted at Jordan, causing him to run away prior to the accident. Meanwhile, the businessman and disgraced councillor continued to maintain his innocence but ultimately decided to plead guilty at his hearing.

In tonight’s episode (27 July), Chelsea’s guilt mounted and she finally agreed to make a statement<\/a> in Ian’s favour. However, she didn’t make it to court in time<\/a>, resulting in disastrous consequences for the Beales.<\/p>\n

Despite Jordan’s medical improvements, Ian was told that his careless actions would be punished with a custodial sentence. He was given an eight-month prison sentence, leaving his family devastated. <\/p>\n

Tomorrow’s episode (28 July) picks up after the judge’s shocking verdict, with the Beales struggling to process Ian’s imprisonment. The father and grandfather sadly accepts his fate as he is led away in handcuffs. <\/p>\n

The situation escalates when Chelsea and Kim finally arrive at the courtroom and realise they’re too late. Kathy’s grief boils over and she furiously confronts them, triggering an explosive row. <\/p>\n

Terrified for her son, Kathy directs her anger at Chelsea – and it isn’t long before things turn violent. Kathy slaps Chelsea across the face, blaming her for Ian’s harsh custodial sentence. <\/p>\n

How will Chelsea react? Could this be the start of an epic feud between the Beales and the Fox-Truemans?
