EastEnders’ Denise Fox can look forward to a much-needed boost next week, when Patrick Trueman returns to Walford and heads straight to her bedside.<\/p>\n

Emotions are running high as the duo are reunited at the hospital, where Patrick is finally able to give Denise his support in person.<\/p>\n

It’s been agony for Patrick to be so far away while Denise is battling leukaemia<\/a>, but now he’s back and determined to be her rock.<\/p>\n

But what neither of them realise is that while they are pulling together as a family, Sheila<\/a> is plotting to rip the Fox-Trueman family apart\u2026<\/p>\n

“Patrick wants to make life as easy as possible for Denise,” explains our Walford source. “He can see there’s tension between her and Chelsea over Sheila, so he’s immediately trying to intervene and cool the temperature down.<\/p>\n

“Patrick wants Denise to focus on fighting cancer, not family dramas. But Denise is dead right to be suspicious of Sheila \u2013 she’s not the innocent granny she pretends to be!”<\/p>\n

While Patrick and Denise are reuniting, Sheila is sneaking her way past Chelsea’s boundaries. She’s managed to manoeuvre her way into spending time alone with Jordan, despite Chelsea initially being reluctant to allow it.<\/p>\n

Yet Sheila is clever, and she keeps building up the trust between them by doing favours and offering support, so Chelsea lets down her guard. <\/p>\n

However, Sheila has earned no such trust from Denise, who isn’t happy to hear she’s babysitting alone. It turns out that Denise is right to be wary when Sheila tests out whether she can convince Jordan to keep a secret from his family.<\/p>\n

“This is despicable behaviour from Sheila, who seems hellbent on getting Jordan under her spell and prepped to hide things,” warns our spy. “Nobody with good motives would do such a thing to a vulnerable child, but Sheila isn’t acting in Jordan’s best interests. Instead, she’s being as manipulative and twisted as jailed Gray!”<\/p>\n

At the prison, Gray is delighted to hear from Sheila that their plan is working, believing he is close to getting what he wants. But Chelsea begins to grow suspicious when Jordan lets something slip. <\/p>\n

A knock at the door turns the whole situation on its head and leaves Sheila utterly shaken. As she rings Gray in a state, what will Sheila’s next move be?<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
