Emmerdale fans will see cracks appear in Nicola and Jimmy King’s seemingly rock-solid marriage next week, when she begins to suspect he’s playing away from home.<\/p>\n

It all kicks off when Nicola finds a jewellery box hidden in Jimmy’s golf bag and is adamant that he would never make such a romantic gesture towards her. <\/p>\n

Instead, Nicola turns detective as she vows to find the temptress who has turned Jimmy’s head. But is she right to suspect him of being a cheating love rat?<\/p>\n

“Jimmy has form \u2013 don’t forget that time he snogged Mandy when things weren’t great between him and Nicola,” warns our Dales informant. <\/p>\n

“Admittedly, he was in a crisis state back then, but it did prove he’s capable of cheating on Nico. Worse still, their marriage isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders right now, so Nicola feels more vulnerable than ever.”<\/p>\n

Like many couples, the grind of family life and the demands of balancing work commitments have meant they’ve put their romantic relationship on the back burner.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t help that Jimmy keeps sneaking off to play golf with glamorous Manpreet Sharma<\/a>. So, Nicola lays down a challenge to her husband to put the spark back into their marriage. <\/p>\n

Jimmy understands the assignment and tantalises Nicola with promises of a date to remember. However, when Jimmy reveals the plan, Nicola is less than impressed with his solution to their marital stagnation. In fact, she’s so cross that she shoves his golf clubs at him, sending a jewellery box tumbling to the ground! That’s enough to send his wife into full Miss Marple mode\u2026<\/p>\n

“There are plenty of men who’d think buying gorgeous jewellery would be a good way to prove their devotion, but Nicola does not believe Jimmy is one of them,” continues our spy.<\/p>\n

“In fact, she’s convinced he’s far too hopeless and tight to make such a move for her. That’s why she starts to believe there’s another woman on the scene, someone who’d inspire Jimmy to try hard to impress.”<\/p>\n

Nobody would want to swap places with the hapless King as Nicola begins her interrogation. She is determined to get to the bottom of what’s going on, and if Jimmy has cheated, he’s going to rue the day he crossed his formidable wife. <\/p>\n

But after so many years together, could Jimmy really have done the dirty on Nicola, or has she jumped to the wrong conclusion?<\/p>\n
