{"id":573215,"date":"2026-07-29T04:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T04:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/573215\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T04:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T04:35:08","slug":"six-adult-men-removed-from-state-on-foot-of-deportation-order-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/573215\/","title":{"rendered":"Six adult men removed from State on foot of deportation order \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Six adult men were removed from the State on foot of deportation orders by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\">garda\u00ed<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The Garda National Immigration Bureau carried out the operation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The six individuals were removed on a chartered flight which left <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin\/\">Dublin<\/a> early on Tuesday morning, for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/nigeria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">These individuals were all convicted of offences in this jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Their removal supports ongoing operations by An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na nationwide including: Operation Moonridge which targets sex offenders and domestic violence offenders, Operation Thor targeting organised crime groups involved in burglaries nationwide, Operation T\u00e1irge which targets recidivist offenders involved in organised retail crime and handling stolen property and Operation Tare targeting drug supply networks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">In a statement, garda\u00ed said it \u201ccontinues to work closely with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/department-of-justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/department-of-justice\">Department of Justice<\/a> in implementing immigration policy along with the Irish Prison service in the implementation of these operations.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Six adult men were removed from the State on foot of deportation orders by garda\u00ed on Tuesday.
