\n\tFans in Montreal just got the biggest surprise yet on Ariana Grande<\/a>\u2018s Eternal Sunshine Tour, with the pop superstar debuting an unreleased track from her fast-approaching new album, Petal, live on stage.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the Tuesday night (July 28) performance at Bell Centre in the Canadian province, Grande expanded her usual setlist<\/a> to include a performance of \u201cPetal,\u201d<\/a> the title track of her eighth studio album arriving at the end of the week. Wearing the white dress she sports toward the end of her set \u2014 which concludes with her being pulled up to the sky by a UFO \u2014 the vocalist premieres the song\u2019s slinking verses and ascending, atmospheric chorus.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAll of my favorite stories end in some kind of catastrophe\/ But I don\u2019t need someone to save me\/ \u2019Cause this music and I will never die,\u201d she sings over harmonies and her drummer\u2019s pounding percussion. \u201cTired of printing endless pictures of a life that isn\u2019t mine\/ Trying different boys on for size\/ If this is my curse, I\u2019ll let it rise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere in Tuesday\u2019s show, Grande sang<\/a> part of \u201cWorst Behavior\u201d from the deluxe edition of her 2021 Positions album for the first time live.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe next day, Grande shared Instagram photos<\/a> from the set of her upcoming visual project \u2014 likely a music video, the 1950s-esque teaser <\/a>for which she dropped earlier Tuesday \u2014 and captioned it with more \u201cPetal\u201d lyrics. \u201cjust as long as she keeps getting it right heartbreak won\u2019t bite,\u201d she wrote. \u201cthis is paradise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the teaser, the Wicked actress debuted a new character accompanying her Petal storytelling universe. \u201cHello, I\u2019m Pepper,\u201d she tells a receptionist in the black-and-white clip. \u201cI\u2019m here for the audition.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPetal is set to drop Friday (July 31), two years after the release of Eternal Sunshine, which spent three weeks atop the Billboard 200<\/a> and produced two Billboard Hot 100 <\/a>No. 1 hits: \u201cYes, And?\u201d and \u201cWe Can\u2019t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).\u201d The lead single of Grande\u2019s next album, \u201cHate That I Made You Love Me,\u201d debuted at the top of the Hot 100, marking her 10th career No. 1 hit.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Grammy winner sings many of those chart smashes every night on the Eternal Sunshine Tour, which kicked off in early June. After two more nights in Montreal, she\u2019ll move on to Chicago for three shows followed by a tour-closing 10-night stay at the O2 Arena in London. <\/p>\n
