EastEnders spoilers<\/a> follow from Wednesday’s episode (29 July), which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer but hasn’t aired on BBC One yet.<\/p>\n

EastEnders has revealed a new death blackmail twist for Nicola Mitchell, as the tables turn amid the Eve and Suki Panesar-Unwin storyline. Nicola has recently been involved in a feud with the couple<\/a>, holding video footage of Eve attacking her. She’s been keeping it “for a rainy day” amid their adoption hopes, recently U-turning on an offer to name their price by deciding it wasn’t for sale. <\/p>\n

While she has held the power, Eve discovers the truth of George’s decision to allow his dad Eddie to die recently, twisting things around in tonight’s episode.<\/p>\n

In the instalment, which is available on BBC iPlayer now, Phil Mitchell tries to mediate between Nicola and George amid his secret guilt<\/a> over not saving Eddie on his death bed. Phil suggests to an angry Nicola that she give George more time amid his grief.<\/p>\n

Suki later drops by on Nicola, asking her to name her price for the footage, but Nicola doubles down on her previous refusal to delete it. Suki threatens Nicola over her own daughter, and when her nemesis hits back, Suki declares their fight isn’t “over”.<\/p>\n

Later, Phil finds George drinking, concerned that his father’s death is eating him up. Phil suggests George think about the people Eddie hurt, and whether they would forgive him \u2013 unaware of why George is really turning to alcohol.<\/p>\n

While visiting his mum Gloria’s grave, George offloads his guilt, saying: “I know you would forgive me, and I know I should feel free\u2026 but I don’t.”<\/p>\n

Eve and Jean later spot George drinking. Eve has a heart-to-heart with him about families, with George opening up about his villainous father’s past. However, Eve’s ears prick up at George’s comment after she suggests death “isn’t one big cleansing thing”.<\/p>\n

“If I known that, maybe I wouldn’t have done it\u2026” he confesses.<\/p>\n

With the truth revealed, Eve later confronts Nicola in the Queen Vic, declaring she calls the shots now armed with the information that George “killed his dad”, shocking a previously unaware Nicola.<\/p>\n

How will Nicola confront George now she knows the truth? And has this levelled the playing field amid her feud with Eve and Suki?<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
