{"id":574384,"date":"2026-07-29T21:05:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T21:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/574384\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T21:05:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T21:05:08","slug":"wtop-to-lease-103-9-fm-to-k-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/574384\/","title":{"rendered":"WTOP to lease 103.9 FM to K-LOVE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Saturday, Aug. 1, at 12:01 a.m., WTOP&#8217;s 24\/7 news programming will no longer be heard on 103.9 FM in Frederick County, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>Starting Saturday, Aug. 1, at 12:01 a.m., WTOP\u2019s 24\/7 news programming will no longer be heard on 103.9 FM in Frederick County, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>WTOP has leased the frequency to K-LOVE, an adult contemporary Christian music station.<\/p>\n<p>WTOP will continue to broadcast on 103.5 FM, 107.7 FM and 103.5 HD-1, and is available for streaming on <a href=\"https:\/\/wtop.com\/listen-live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">WTOP.com<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/wtop-washingtons-top-news\/id943805934?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Apple<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.audionowdigital.player.wtopradio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Android apps<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=j7rF9oS_v1s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">YouTube<\/a>\u00a0and on <a href=\"https:\/\/wtop.com\/alexa-help-mobile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Alexa<\/a> using the command, \u201cAlexa, Open WTOP.\u201d WTOP\u2019s app is also CarPlay and Android Auto enabled, making it easy to listen to WTOP\u2019s 24\/7 coverage when connected to the car dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur main signal on 103.5 FM covers most of Frederick County\u2019s population and with the advent of streaming, listeners can get us anywhere in the country,\u201d said Joel Oxley, WTOP\u2019s General Manager and President of Hubbard DC, about the reasoning behind the decision.<\/p>\n<p>WTOP began simulcasting on 103.9 FM in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>WTOP and its partner stations, <a href=\"https:\/\/federalnewsnetwork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Federal News Network<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/live.gamut.fm\/listen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Gamut<\/a>, are owned and operated by <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.hubbardradio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Hubbard Broadcasting<\/a>.
