\n\tAriana Grande<\/a> isn\u2019t holding back on her new album, Petal, which the pop star said comes from a place of \u201cunfiltered rage\u201d in a new Apple Music clip posted Wednesday (July 29).<\/p>\n

\n\tShared one day prior to \u201cPetal Radio\u201d airing on the platform Thursday (July 30) at 5 p.m. PT with a more in-depth conversation about the LP, the clip shows Grande sitting on the bed that is part of her stage design on the Eternal Sunshine Tour. When asked which of the 12 tracks on Petal she\u2019s most excited for fans to hear, the Grammy winner couldn\u2019t choose.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m equally excited to see how they react to every single song,\u201d she said. \u201cIt pulls from many different parts of myself and yet, at the same time, it is very experimental and different for me. I wrote from a place that I don\u2019t usually, which was like an unfiltered rage that I think we all feel sometimes.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI usually am too shy to tap into that,\u201d she continued. \u201cThis time, I didn\u2019t filter as much as I usually do. I usually do a lot of rewrites and make things a little kinder. This time, I didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s not the first time Grande has hinted that Petal has a bit of a temper. In May, she posted a video of herself breaking down the message of the album in a meeting with her team, saying at the time<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s a little feral. It\u2019s definitely from a place I\u2019ve been maybe too shy or polite to tap into before. This kind of just feels like, \u2018F\u2013k it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFans will have to wait until the full album drops on Friday (July 31) to get the full picture, but the snippets of Petal they\u2019ve heard so far definitely live up to Grande\u2019s description. On Billboard Hot 100<\/a> No. 1 lead single \u201cHate That I Made You Love Me,\u201d for instance, she muses with brutal honesty, \u201cI\u2019ve held your projections when you\u2019ve felt so insecure\/ Tell me, why is it this way?\/ Why you so hate to see women endure?\/ Is it really my fault you all gave me your hearts of your own accord?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGood luck on your way to hell,\u201d the vocalist sings plainly on a clip from one song<\/a> she posted on Instagram earlier in July.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd on the title track \u2014 which she debuted live<\/a> on stage at her first Eternal Sunshine Tour show in Montreal \u2014 she further addresses her relationship to being in the public eye. \u201cAll of my favorite stories end in some kind of catastrophe,\u201d the lyrics read. \u201cBut I don\u2019t need someone to save me\/ \u2019Cause this music and I will never die.\u201d<\/p>\n
