The Herald this week reported that TOA Architects blamed the Government\u2019s cancellation of the $15 billion Auckland light rail project<\/a> for its financial trouble.<\/p>\n

A company spokesman previously said its tax obligations fell behind and Inland Revenue penalties and interest became a big contributor to the overall debt.<\/p>\n

\u201cTOA was left carrying the cost of a business that had been built to deliver a generational infrastructure programme, but without the revenue that programme was expected to generate,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
