{"id":575054,"date":"2026-07-30T07:07:31","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T07:07:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/575054\/"},"modified":"2026-07-30T07:07:31","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T07:07:31","slug":"singapore-announces-additional-sgd900-million-relief-to-cushion-impact-of-west-asia-conflict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/575054\/","title":{"rendered":"Singapore Announces Additional SGD900-million Relief To Cushion Impact Of West Asia Conflict"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Anas Abu Hassan<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SINGAPORE: The Singapore Government today unveiled a second support package worth SGD900 million (SGD1=RM3.17)\u00a0to help its citizens navigate the impact of the ongoing West Asia conflicts and global uncertainties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest round of support to Singaporean households includes SGD300 Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, which will be\u00a0disbursed in January 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government is also introducing enhanced U-Save rebates of up to SGD190 and monthly payouts for ComCare Interim Assistance of at least SGD250 per month for up to three months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For small and medium businesses (SMEs), the government is offering\u00a0a one-off SME\u00a0Cash Grant 2026 and rental support for small businesses in government-managed hawker centres.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government is also set to enhance the Enterprise Financing Scheme (EFS) from September 2026 to March 2027\u00a0to provide local enterprises with better access to financing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Second Finance\u00a0Minister, Jeffrey Siow, said the additional support package has raised\u00a0the government\u2019s total support to SGD2 billion to date, including the SGD1-billion assistance package announced in April and measures introduced under Budget 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe believe this is the right response given the economic conditions today.
