EastEnders<\/a> spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (30 July), which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer but hasn’t aired on BBC One yet.<\/p>\n

EastEnders has confirmed Joel Marshall<\/a>‘s future on Albert Square, as he makes a cruel threat to Avani Nandra-Hart. The teen recently returned from the young offenders institution, though has faced hostility from the other teenagers.<\/p>\n

As part of their vengeance, they recently tied Joel to railings and poured beer over him, also filming their actions. However, they later returned to discover he had disappeared, before finding Joel unconscious with a head injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Joel has no memory of who attacked him, while viewers are also in the dark, though tonight’s (30 July) episode \u2013 which is available now on BBC iPlayer \u2013 sees him point the finger at Avani as he faces desperation in his living situation.<\/p>\n

Joel first comes across Avani and Amy, who make him feel unwelcome, Avani noting that she gets a say in whether he lives close to her \u2013 making it clear that she doesn’t want him anywhere near her.<\/p>\n

Joel later speaks to her one-on-one, admitting he doesn’t have many options if she doesn’t allow him to stay, claiming that he changed in the young offenders. Following his pleas, she refuses.<\/p>\n

“You can go to hell for all I care,” Avani declares.<\/p>\n

Joel then accuses her of being the one who attacked him, though Avani denies that she is the culprit. However, he decides to blackmail her, saying he will keep his mouth shut over the unfounded claims if she lets him stay.<\/p>\n

In a desperate situation, Avani later gathers with the other teens, who urge her to give into Joel’s demands, and feeling under pressure she decides to do so.<\/p>\n

“You win,” she reluctantly declares to an onlooking Joel, before sharing her disappointment in her friends for urging her to let him stay.<\/p>\n

Is the culprit among them?<\/p>\n

Our EastEnders insider recently teased<\/a> that the “plot is about to thicken” regarding the attack storyline, “and it starts to look like more than one guilty party is involved”.<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
