\n\tTom Holland<\/a> is wearing the Spidey suit one more time for\u00a0Spider-Man<\/a>: Brand New Day,\u00a0but is aware that it won\u2019t be happening forever.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a new interview, the actor has revealed there\u2019s a plan for the superhero as Holland transitions out of the role.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home,\u201d Holland said on the Happy Sad Confused<\/a> podcast. \u201cIt\u2019s laid out. It\u2019s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it\u2019s really exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued, \u201cI know I get really excited when we have these meetings and chat about it. But that is the thing I want to do most in this character, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland\u2019s Spider-Man first appeared in 2016\u2019s\u00a0Captain America: Civil War, officially becoming part of the Marvel<\/a> Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures would then release Spider-Man: Homecoming the following year with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role of Iron Man. Holland would later reprise his role in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, Holland pondered the future and talked about becoming a mentor to the next Spider-Man<\/a>, much like Robert Downey Jr. was to him when he entered the MCU.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor whoever\u2019s next, whether that is a Miles Morales or a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter,\u201d Holland told Empire<\/a>. \u201cWhatever that looks like, I don\u2019t know. But if I could do what Downey did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn another interview, Holland even named Adolescence actor Owen Cooper as a possible successor<\/a>, telling Esquire UK, \u201cOwen Cooper would be awesome. Obviously, he\u2019s super-talented and the talk of the town right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Holland also expressed support for other Spider-Man projects, saying, \u201cI think what also\u2019s been so fun over these last few years is that there\u2019s so many different Spider-Man mediums. We have Spider-Noir that came out a few weeks ago, we have my version, we have the stuff that Sony\u2019s been doing, we have the animated movies that Sony makes \u2014 which are just the best Spider-Man movies that have ever been made, those animated movies. The heart in those movies is out of this world.\u201d<\/p>\n
