{"id":576711,"date":"2026-07-31T06:39:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T06:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/576711\/"},"modified":"2026-07-31T06:39:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T06:39:11","slug":"merchantrade-money-now-supports-google-wallet-and-samsung-wallet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/576711\/","title":{"rendered":"Merchantrade Money Now Supports Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Free Newsletter<\/p>\n<p>Get the hottest Fintech Malaysia News once a month in your Inbox<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fintechnews.my\/tag\/Merchantrade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Merchantrade Money<\/a> cardholders can now make contactless payments through Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet using their smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>The company said it is the first homegrown non-bank e-money issuer in Malaysia to support native tap-to-pay transactions across both wallets.<\/p>\n<p>Users can add their Merchantrade Money Visa Prepaid cards to either wallet and pay at contactless Visa terminals in Malaysia and overseas.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>   <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4eQc2Zy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2307-Webinar-Temenos-600x500-ezgif.com-optimize-1.gif\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Payments can be deducted from supported foreign currencies that users have converted in advance through the platform\u2019s multi-currency wallet.<\/p>\n<p>Users will not incur foreign transaction fee markups when spending from those balances.<\/p>\n<p>The service can also be used on supported contactless public transport networks and at retail outlets.<\/p>\n<p>Transactions are secured through Visa Token Service, which replaces card details with a digital token during payment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-59975\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG-5-150x150.png\" alt=\"Cindy Loo\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"\/>Cindy Loo<\/p>\n<p>Cindy Loo, Executive Vice President for Merchantrade Money, said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnabling native NFC payments in Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet was a natural evolution to ensure a uniform, cardless experience at physical card terminals.
