Liverpool<\/a> midfielder Curtis Jones had a heated argument with team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai after his side’s 1-0 win over Wrexham at Yankee Stadium on Thursday.<\/p>\n

After the full-time whistle Jones, Szoboszlai and later Kostas Tsimikas argued with one another as the team were walking across the pitch to applaud supporters.<\/p>\n

It is unclear what caused the exchange although during the match Szoboszlai gave his captain’s armband to Tsimikas rather than Jones when he was subbed off and during the argument Tsimikas was filmed throwing the armband on to the floor.<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer Liverpool rejected a \u00a321.7m offer for Jones from Inter Milan.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has one year left on his current deal at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month Liverpool<\/a> manager Andoni Iraola stressed he wanted Jones to stay at the club.<\/p>\n

“I rate Curtis very highly,” he said. “For me he is a great, great player, and I hope he can continue with us and continue performing the way he has been performing.”<\/p>\n
