James Marsden has been spotted back on set for the upcoming season of Paradise. The political thriller series was renewed for a third instalment<\/a> earlier this year, following its cliffhanger finale. <\/p>\n

Marsden has starred as President Cal Bradford in both seasons of the show, despite his character being killed off in the series premiere. Bradford appeared on screen through flashbacks, with the first season revolving around his mysterious murder.

This week, the star was seen back in action as Paradise began filming its third season in downtown Los Angeles. Marsden was dressed very formally in a light blue shirt and striped tie with navy trousers and smart shoes. <\/p>\n

The actor was surrounded by crew members and was carrying a coffee cup in between takes on set. Could Cal Bradford be taking a more central role in the upcoming instalment? What will the new flashbacks reveal? <\/p>\n

Season three was announced back in March, following the show’s huge success among fans and critics alike. The series currently boasts an overall 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> from 119 reviews with Espinof<\/a> branding it “addictive”. <\/p>\n

Set in a post-apocalyptic underground bunker, Paradise follows former Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K Brown). Season one focused on Xavier’s investigation into the President’s death, while season two saw him venturing outside of the bunker to find his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma), after discovering she was alive.<\/p>\n

Though upcoming plot details remain under wraps, Brown previously shared that creator Dan Fogelman was planning on ending the show after season three. <\/p>\n

“So, twice in a row now, we’ve done this, where with This Is Us, he knew it was going to be six seasons. Paradise, he knows it’s three seasons,” the actor told Collider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It means that he gets to build towards something with each episode. We’re not trying to put filler into something just to keep it going in perpetuity. We get to build towards something.”

Seasons one and two of Paradise are available to stream on Hulu<\/a> and Disney+<\/a>. Season three has yet to receive a release date.
