Coronation Street has set up Nina Lucas’s exit tonight, following a misunderstanding with newcomer Sienna. Furious Asha Alahan<\/a> pointed out some harsh home truths, forcing Nina to assess her life choices. <\/p>\n

Nina and Asha made a huge change earlier this summer when they decided to move into the flat above the corner shop. Despite their romantic history, the exes agreed it wouldn’t be weird to live together as friends. <\/p>\n

Recent episodes have seen Asha dating her colleague Sienna, with their new romance seemingly going well. However, yesterday, Nina noticed Sienna’s increasingly shifty behaviour and wondered if she had anything to do with her missing money<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In tonight’s episode, Nina explained her theory that Sienna had stolen her cash as she was “the only other person in the flat”. But Asha was reluctant to believe Sienna was a thief. <\/p>\n

Their conversation was interrupted by the paramedic who arrived at the flat, with Nina struggling to hide his disdain. She immediately asked Sienna if she’d seen the money, while Asha tried to play peacemaker between the pair.<\/p>\n

“I never misplaced them. I know exactly where I put them, and when you were gone, my tips were gone, too,” Nina stated. <\/p>\n

Insulted by the accusation, Sienna denied taking the money and in turn accused Nina of being a “jealous ex”. She stormed out, leaving Asha furious.

Later, after turning the flat upside down, Asha found the envelope of money in the drawer where Nina left it. She suggested that Sienna was right about her being jealous, claiming Nina was “stuck in a rut” and “too scared to take any chances” in life.<\/p>\n

Last month Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina, announced she would be exiting the cobbles<\/a> to join the stage production of Silence of the Lambs. Speaking exclusively with Digital Spy<\/a>, the star confirmed that she wouldn’t be killed off on the soap, leaving the door open for a future return. <\/p>\n

“I would not have been able to deal with that! Nina is such a unique character and I think there’s so much to do with her. That’s why I don’t think her story is over,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“There’s her art \u2013 when she came into the show, she was really talented. I wanted to explore more of that. Obviously there’s the brilliant relationship with Roy, too. I think that’s my favourite part of being at Corrie \u2013 Nina and Roy. So I hope that it isn’t the end.” <\/p>\n
