According to reports, Liverpool<\/a> have now \u2018moved closer\u2019 to signing Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola after being given \u2018encouragement\u2019.<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019<\/a>s top priority for the remainder of this summer\u2019s transfer window is to sign a top-level winger to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah.<\/p>\n

Having missed out on Yan Diomande and Michael Olise, Liverpool have reportedly switched their attention to landing Barcola<\/a>, and they look increasingly likely to sign the PSG star.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, a report claimed Barcola \u2018wants to join\u2019 Liverpool <\/a>after deciding against signing a contract extension beyond 2028, though it has also been suggested that his current club want around \u00a3145m for him.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it is hardly surprising that transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Reds\u2019 biggest issue will be to settle on a fee with PSG, but he suspects that an \u2018agreement with the player will come\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cContacts continue between Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and the player\u2019s representatives,\u201d Romano said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe key point is the transfer fee. There will be no problem regarding the player\u2019s contract, personal terms or the project. Bradley Barcola is very keen on Liverpool and is excited by the move.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe discussions are continuing, but Liverpool will need to make a significant financial investment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club must determine how much they are willing to pay PSG before the deal can happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing is imminent. There has been talk of a bid being prepared, but this is not the main issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiverpool want Barcola and they will make a bid. The agreement with the player will also come. The real challenge is reaching a financial agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat could take time because PSG have already lost several attacking players and are still completing other business.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe French club also need time to secure replacements before allowing another important forward to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liverpool \u2018move closer\u2019 to signing Bradley Barcola<\/p>\n

Football Insider reporter Pete O\u2019Rourke, meanwhile, has stated that Liverpool have now \u2018moved closer\u2019 to signing Barcola because they have been \u2018encouraged\u2019 due to two main factors.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a deal that obviously Liverpool are working hard to try and get done. He has become their top target as they want to bring in another winger before the close of the window,\u201d O\u2019Rourke told Football Insider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously they\u2019ve been encouraged by the fact that he\u2019s turned down a new contract to PSG and is open to a move to Anfield.<\/p>\n

\u201cEncouraging signs for Liverpool that they can get a deal done.\u201d<\/p>\n
