At home<\/a>, her sons, Brandon, now 30, and Dylan, now 28, had trouble reconciling the figure the world thought it knew with the doting mum who had their baseball games written into her contracts and cherished her sourdough starter like a third child. It was Brandon who encouraged Anderson to make the 2023 Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story. \u201cBrandon said, \u2018Mum, no one knows that you garden. No one knows that you cook,\u2019\u201d says Anderson, who initially resisted the idea of a documentary because she didn\u2019t feel any obligation to defend the decisions she made in her life. This was no grand redemption arc. \u201cI said, \u2018Well, I didn\u2019t save anything. I don\u2019t have anything, so I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re going to use. But if you do it, I don\u2019t want to see it,\u2019\u201d she says, laughing at the fact that she had a shipping container and an attic overflowing with journals and videos from the \u201990s.<\/p>\n

Like typical twentysomethings, her sons didn\u2019t listen to their mother, with Brandon co-producing the raw and heartfelt portrait of Anderson\u2019s life.
