Ben Shephard has shed light on the unusual working arrangement he has with his wife Annie Perks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The couple met while studying at the University of Birmingham, where Ben was studying drama, dance and theatre arts, and romance blossomed in 1995. <\/p>\n

They subsequently welcomed two sons, Sam and Jack, but have largely kept their private lives out of the limelight. <\/p>\n

Now Ben has revealed that he and Annie tend to live quite separate lives, but it works for them.<\/p>\n

He told the Daily Mail:<\/a> ‘Annie is much more solitary than me. She’s much happier in her own company. <\/p>\n

‘Half the time she’s like: “I need a bit of space. Can you leave me alone for five seconds, please?”‘<\/p>\n

He added: ‘We do live quite separate lives.’<\/p>\n

Ben<\/a> explained that he is often away a lot with his work while Annie is also busy with her career in garden and interior design. <\/p>\n

When he has spare time, he likes getting out and about and doing something physical.<\/p>\n

Their eldest child, Sam, is studying maths at university while their youngest, Jack, is working as a teaching assistant to save money to go travelling.<\/p>\n

‘We do miss him, and Annie misses him dearly, but it’s just such an exciting time.
