{"id":579353,"date":"2026-08-01T20:49:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T20:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/579353\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T20:49:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T20:49:11","slug":"poll-support-for-fianna-fail-drops-as-sinn-fein-and-fine-gael-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/579353\/","title":{"rendered":"Poll: Support for Fianna F\u00e1il drops as Sinn F\u00e9in and Fine Gael level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Support for Fianna F\u00e1il has dropped to its lowest point in two years, the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.ie\/irish-news\/politics\/poll-fianna-fails-support-slumps-to-two-year-low-while-sinn-fein-and-fine-gael-level-on-20pc\/a\/159486775.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sunday Independent\/Ireland Thinks poll<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n<p>Taoiseach Miche\u00e1l Martin has seen support for his party fall by one point to 16 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The last time Fianna F\u00e1il were on 16 per cent was in May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Sinn F\u00e9in have moved up one point to 20 per cent, alongside Fine Gael, who remained unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Support for the Social Democrats has dropped to 10 per cent, while Independents and others are up to 12 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Aont\u00fa are up one per cent to seven per cent alongside Independent Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Labour, Solidarity-People Before Profit, and the Green Party are all on three per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of living remains the biggest issue for voters, with 49 per cent citing it as their leading concern.
