A man’s body was recovered from the Royal Canal near Cross Guns Bridge in Dublin 7 this morning.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed and emergency services were alerted shortly before 9am. The deceased has been taken to the local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.<\/p>\n
Dublin Live understands that foul play is not suspected at this time. The deceased has not yet been identified.<\/p>\n
A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “Garda\u00ed and emergency services were alerted shortly before 9:00am following the discovery of the body of a male in the Royal Canal near the Cross Guns Bridge, Phibsborough Road, Dublin<\/a> 7, on Saturday 1st August 2026.<\/p>\n “The male\u2019s body has since been recovered from the water.
