Turkish giants Trabzonspor are now \u2018close to hijacking\u2019 Besiktas\u2019 deal to sign Liverpool<\/a> legend Mohamed Salah this summer, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0announced in March that\u00a0Salah<\/a>\u00a0would be leaving Anfield after allowing him to cut his time at the club short by one year to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.<\/p>\n

There have been rumours over the past couple of years that a move to Saudi Arabia would be the most likely destination with huge offers reportedly made.<\/p>\n

A transfer to the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer were seen as the main options this summer but Turkish journalist Ya\u011f\u0131z Saffun\u00e7uo\u011flu claimed last month that Salah had an \u2018agreement\u2019 with Salah.<\/p>\n

Saffun\u00e7uo\u011flu reported: \u2018Be\u015fikta\u015f made the first offer to Salah. Salah, who initially demanded an annual salary of 15 million euros (around 25.6 billion Korean won), lowered his salary expectations for the transfer to Be\u015fikta\u015f. The player\u2019s lawyer has arrived in Istanbul.\u2019<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018Be\u015fikta\u015f has reached an agreement with Mohamed Salah on financial terms. Negotiations are currently ongoing regarding the contract duration and image rights.\u2019<\/p>\n

That story saw Turkish giants Besiktas issue a strongly-worded statement to deny reports of an \u2018agreement\u2019 with Salah and criticised Saffun\u00e7uo\u011flu for breaking the news in Turkey.<\/p>\n

Besiktas\u2019 statement read: \u2018The content posted by Ya\u011f\u0131z Saffun\u00e7uo\u011flu, a journalist, regarding the digital transfer process and transfer conditions discussed by our club is entirely fictional.<\/p>\n

\u2018The individual has long been spreading reports fabricated at their desk, unrelated to the facts, regarding our club\u2019s transfer procedures, and has been openly misleading the public.<\/p>\n

\u2018As we have previously stated, the most accurate and transparent information regarding our team\u2019s transfer procedures is shared with fans and the public through our official communication channels. We once again respectfully request that you do not trust any information or reports not announced through our official channels.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trabzonspor \u2018close\u2019 to Salah \u2018hijack\u2019<\/p>\n

And now Super Lig side Trabzonspor have taken advantage of Besiktas\u2019 inaction as they close in on \u2018hijacking\u2019 the deal, according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna.<\/p>\n

Aouna posted on X<\/a>:\u00a0\u2018Trabzonspor are close to hijacking the Mohamed Salah deal. The club are close to reaching a full agreement with the player after entering advanced negotiations with his agent. As a result, Be\u015fikta\u015f have officially suspended negotiations until further notice, despite having already reached a verbal agreement with the player\u2019s camp over a 1+1-year contract worth \u20ac10M net per season plus \u20ac2M in bonuses.\u2019<\/p>\n

And Turkish journalist Saffun\u00e7uo\u011flu has now revealed that Trabzonspor have submitted an offer worth \u20ac17m a year for two years.<\/p>\n

Saffun\u00e7uo\u011flu wrote on X<\/a>: \u2018Trabzonspor has met with Mohamed Salah\u2019s representative and submitted an official offer.<\/p>\n
