It’s time to get back to the Walter’s ranch<\/a>, Will’s auto shop, the Pogues’ hideout and Leanne’s cozy home<\/a>!<\/p>\n

My Life with the Walter Boys, Tires<\/a>, Outer Banks<\/a> and Leanne are all back for new seasons this August on Netflix, alongside a bevy of new, exciting offerings.<\/p>\n

If you’re not in one of these fandoms already, the streamer has a new reality TV dating show surrounding Harry Jowsey<\/a>, and two adaptations of the novels My Brilliant Career and All the Truth in My Lies.<\/p>\n

And, at the top of the month, People Inc., the parent company of PEOPLE, will drop a variety of video series on the streamer from PEOPLE, InStyle, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure and Entertainment Weekly.<\/p>\n

Here are all the shows you need to watch on Netflix in August 2026.<\/p>\n

Best Medicine season 1 (Aug. 4)\"Josh<\/p>\n

After Doc Martin stole hearts in the U.K. from 2004 to 2022, the executive producers brought the show overseas to Fox under a new title, Best Medicine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The premise is the same, following a socially awkward doctor in a small town who, despite everyone’s negative snap judgements, turns out to be exactly what they need. Dr. Martin, or in this case, Dr. Best’s heart is softened along the way too.<\/p>\n

Good for fans of the original, or newcomers to the plot, Best Medicine<\/a> season 1 is coming to Netflix four months after it wrapped on air. The second season was confirmed in March 2026.<\/p>\n

Let’s Marry Harry (Aug. 5)\"Episode<\/p>\n

Harry Jowsey, of Too Hot to Handle<\/a> and Perfect Match<\/a> fame, is back for yet another reality dating show. This time, he’s saying he is ready for something more serious and asking his famous friends to help him vet 20 women who signed up to marry him.<\/p>\n

The episodes follow a Bachelor<\/a>-like format with dates, drama and eliminations. At the end, much like the famed franchise Let’s Marry Harry takes inspiration from, Harry struggles to pick between two women he says he is in love with.<\/p>\n

One Hundred Years of Solitude part 2 (Aug. 5 and 26)\"One<\/p>\n

One Hundred Years of Solitude: Part 2

Based on the classic Nobel Prize-winning novel of the same name by Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez, One Hundred Years of Solitude<\/a> follows the Buendia family as they grow a town, contend with big changes over generations and experience a healthy dose of magical realism.<\/p>\n

Part 1 of Netflix’s ambitious adaptation, released in 2024, reached critical acclaim.<\/p>\n

Watch the first seven episodes of <\/a>One Hundred Years of Solitude<\/a> season 2 on Netflix on Aug. 5 and the finale on Aug. 26<\/a><\/p>\n

Jackie, Cole and Alex are back in the middle of their love triangle<\/a> in My Life with the Walter Boys season 3. The last season ended with Alex overhearing Cole’s dramatic love confession to Jackie and a cliffhanger about patriarch George’s health.<\/p>\n

The upcoming installment promises more of the same sizzling chemistry and big family drama. What’s new though, is a fourth member of the love triangle, a former flame of Jackie’s from home<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My Brilliant Career (Aug. 13)\"Genevieve<\/p>\n

Based on the bestselling 1901 novel by the same name, My Brilliant Career follows an ambitious young woman in late 19th-century Australia.<\/p>\n

She wants a career, as the title foretells, but the patriarchy, social norms and even her budding romance hold her back from these goals.<\/p>\n

The novel was adapted for a 1979 film but is now getting new life on Netflix with a cast of young talent and an irreverent bend to the writing.<\/p>\n

Tires season 3 (Aug. 13)\"Connor<\/p>\n

Shane Gillis<\/a> is back with season 3 of his hit show, Tires. The sitcom stars himself and Steve Gerben as ragtag family co-workers who have to band together after Gerben’s character, Will, inherits his dad’s auto shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In season 3, the crew is attempting to bring the business back from the brink, while continuing to roast each other as hard as possible.<\/p>\n

If you like the slapstick sitcom comedy of yore, Tires might be for you.<\/p>\n

MLB Field of Dreams: Phillies vs. Twins (Aug. 13)\"MLB<\/p>\n

Starting in 2021, a couple MLB seasons have included a specialty game modeled after the beloved 1989 film Field of Dreams<\/a>. The game, which is between the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins<\/a> this year, is played adjacent to the actual field that was popularized in the movie.<\/p>\n

While they can’t promise the same magic as the movie, Netflix’s live airing of the game should deliver lots of fun for baseball fans across the country.<\/p>\n

The Pogues’ story is finally coming to an end. After four seasons of dramatic adventures and heartbreaking losses, breakout stars Chase Stokes<\/a>, Madelyn Cline<\/a>, Madison Bailey<\/a>, Jonathan Daviss<\/a> and Drew Starkey<\/a> are returning to their beloved North Carolina characters one more time.<\/p>\n

Season 5 promises to tie up all the loose ends while delivering one last amazing journey for the crew to heal from the loss of JJ<\/a> and capture an elusive crown.<\/p>\n

Comedian Leanne Morgan<\/a> had a breakout hit on her hands last year when her self-titled sitcom blew up. The comedy series stars herself and Kristen Johnson<\/a> as sisters reeling from Leanne’s shocking divorce after 33 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

While season 1 dealt with the direct aftermath<\/a>, the next installment focuses on Leanne attempting to thrive, surrounded by her complicated family.<\/p>\n

Elisabet Benavent’s 2017 Spanish-language book Toda La Verdad de Mis Mentiras (All The Truth in My Lies), is coming to Netflix as a funny, swoon-worthy series. The story follows a group of friends embarking on a bachelorette trip that is plagued with all of their unspoken secrets and desires.<\/p>\n

The messy results are relatable, if a little bit dramatic, while the idyllic backgrounds and quick jokes make the series sparkle.<\/p>\n
