The heartbroken family of Zach Ryan has paid tribute to his ‘kind, empathetic spirit’ in the wake of his sudden death.<\/p>\n

Pamela Flood and her husband Ronan Ryan have been left devastated after Ronan’s 24-year-old son, Zach, died <\/a>last week at Dublin\u2019s Beaumont hospital following a sudden illness.<\/p>\n

On Saturday at his funeral mass, his father Ronan remembered his son as a keen sportsman, an avid reader and a humanitarian who worked with the Simon Community outreach team since finishing college.<\/p>\n

Shortly after his funeral, Zach’s aunt Sinead paid a touching tribute to him, gushing over ‘the boundless love’ he emitted and how he ‘poured into all’ into their family.<\/p>\n

Sinead shared a heartfelt statement in memory of the young man, alongside a string of photos on her social media.<\/p>\n

‘Looking at these photos, I am reminded of a beautiful truth: if you live for others, you will be remembered. You will live on in the hearts of those you emitted love to and gave hope to,’ she penned. <\/p>\n

‘My dear nephew Zach spent his 24 years doing exactly that. Through his tireless work with the @dublinsimoncommunity<\/a> and the boundless love you emitted and poured into all our family, Zach, you gave us all so much joy and hope.’<\/p>\n

‘Your kind, empathetic spirit and your beautiful smile will live in our hearts forever,’ Sinead wrote.<\/p>\n

‘Blessed to be your favourite Aunty D Nead (and your only Aunty!). As Nan Mary said, you were No. 1,’ she ended the emotional tribute. <\/p>\n

At the funeral, held at\u00a0the\u00a0Church of St John the Baptist in Clontarf, Andrea Chard, Zach\u2019s mother, had a friend speak on her behalf at her son\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n

‘My son, my best friend, my confidante. He could always win me over with his beautiful soul and infectious smile\u2026 He had incomparable empathy. We always said, “I love you to the moon and back.” I\u2019ll always be your Mama bear.’<\/p>\n

Zach, who is restaurateur Ronan\u2019s son from a previous relationship, was only six when former TV presenter Pamela came into his life.<\/p>\n

As well as Zach, Ronan is a father to Harrison, Elsie,\u00a0and Gracie<\/a>, whom he shares with Pamela.<\/p>\n

His death notice on RIP.ie reads: ‘It is with great sadness we announce Zach\u2019s unexpected but peaceful passing, surrounded by love, following a sudden illness, in the care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Beaumont Hospital.’<\/p>\n

Una Healy <\/a>rushed to Sinead’s comment section to pay her respects. ‘I am so sorry for your loss Sinead. My deepest condolences to you and all the family, may he rest in peace,’ she penned.<\/p>\n

‘So sorry to hear this Sinead. What a handsome young man and what a beautiful tribute to him. Condolences to you may he R.I.P,’ another person shared. <\/p>\n

Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the\u00a0Dublin Simon Community Outreach Service<\/a>, a cause which was close to Zach\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n
