\n It was transformed into its own show in 1983 due to its widespread popularity.\n<\/p>\n
\n The original UK series was hosted by comedian Tom O\u2019Connor until 1983, with Lionel Blair taking over until 1988.\n<\/p>\n
\n The show last appeared on UK television in 1998, when it was briefly revived by Channel 5<\/a> and presented by Jools Holland.\n<\/p>\n \n ITV\u2019s<\/a> new version will challenge contestants to identify famous songs in a series of high-energy rounds.\n<\/p>\n \n Tracks will span generations and genres, all leading up to a dramatic finale.\n<\/p>\n \n The show’s band will also be performing in the new UK version, made up of a group of elite musicians who have performed with some of the world\u2019s biggest stars, including Adele and The Spice Girls.\n<\/p>\n
