A recent set from Canadian power metal band The Scepter, meanwhile, proved to be a life-affirming experience for all parties.<\/p>\n<p>As CTV points out (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\/2026\/07\/31\/news\/canadian-hospital-hosts-heavy-metal-concert-to-fulfill-a-patients-dream-of-catching-a-live-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The PRP<\/a>), The Scepter were recently asked by Bruy\u00e8re Health in Ottawa, Canada to perform a special in-center set for Tim Berry. A 27-year-old \u201cmetalhead,\u201d Berry faces medical challenges that otherwise prevent him from attending concerts as he\u2019d hoped.<\/p>\n<p>So, The Scepter joined forces with local venue Dominion Tavern to stage a free show in a Bruy\u00e8re board room, complete with hospital staff dressing Berry in a metal tee and freshly-painted nails. (Berry was also joined by other patients of the facility for the performance.) By all accounts, it was a genuinely badass metal concert (that also proved absolutely heartfelt and totally charming.)<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>Of the event, Bruy\u00e8re Health clinical chaplain Roshene Lawson said, \u201cI had nurses coming up to me after and hugging me and tearing up and saying, \u2018I\u2019m so glad Tim got to have this.&#8217;\u201d Meanwhile, guitarist Josh Collins said the show proved especially emotional, adding that \u201cwe were happy to have our sunglasses on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Check out pics and footage from the concert below.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sometimes metal shows can be a real bad experience for everyone involved.
