Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has promised that “one of the biggest weeks of the year” is on the way as Joe Tate prepares to tie the knot with Dawn Fletcher.<\/p>\n

The Home Farm couple are due to exchange their vows in a few weeks’ time \u2013 but with Dawn’s ex-husband Billy still harbouring feelings for her<\/a>, there’ll be plenty of twists and turns coming up.<\/p>\n

Last week, Billy was targeted in a mystery attack<\/a> at Caleb Miligan’s depot and Joe is currently the prime suspect in the case<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Joe is firmly protesting his innocence, but could the uncertainty surrounding the attack give Dawn cause to question her feelings? Or will she stay loyal to Joe and the final chance she recently gave him?<\/p>\n

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at a recent Emmerdale press day, Shaw teased: “Obviously the run-up to Joe and Dawn’s wedding is far from smooth! It’s going to be really dramatic, as there’s lots going on.<\/p>\n

“Then the wedding week itself is going to be even more dramatic, let’s face it! We’ve literally just finished filming it and it’s really exciting.”<\/p>\n

She added: “What I can tell you is that it’s going to be one of the biggest weeks of the year for Emmerdale. It’s a week of episodes that are going to be full of heartbreak.<\/p>\n

“It’s typical Emmerdale. But think stunts, heartbreak, tragedy, twists, turns. It’s going to have it all. It’s going to be amazing.”<\/p>\n

Shaw first teased these episodes in an exclusive Inside Soap chat<\/a> earlier this year, promising a unique approach to a big stunt week.<\/p>\n

“What we’re planning for the end of summer, I don’t think I’ve seen a stunt done quite like this before, so it’ll be something a little different,” Shaw explained back in May.<\/p>\n

“We have a big summer planned that’s going to be a big peak for us. It’s going to drop a big, massive bombshell on the village that will change lives forever, put it that way!”<\/p>\n

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
