EastEnders<\/a> spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (3 August), which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer but hasn’t aired on BBC One yet.<\/p>\n

Nugget Gulati made a surprise discovery on EastEnders, with the teenager being involved in the storyline focusing on Avani Nandra-Hart and Joel Marshall<\/a>, the latter of whom has recently returned to Walford.<\/p>\n

Joel spent time at a young offenders institution over the past few months, and has faced hostility since he arrived back in Albert Square. In recent scenes, he was tied to a railing and doused in beer, an incident for which he has blamed Avani.<\/p>\n

In Monday’s (3 August) episode of the BBC soap<\/a>, Joel learns that an extension to his stay has been granted, while Avani confesses to Barney Mitchell that she is nervous about being blamed for the attack.<\/p>\n

Barney then admits that he hid the hammer that was left at the scene, and explains that he was trying to protect her. She tells him that he needs to hand the evidence into the police, and Zack consoles his son when he sees him struggling.<\/p>\n

After some prying from Zack, Barney confesses that he saw Nugget burying something in the allotment on the same night of the attack. Ross, meanwhile, thanks Avani for her part in letting Joel stay in the area, unaware that his son had blackmailed her<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barney and Zack go searching in the allotment, and the pair discover that Nugget had stashed some marijuana in the ground. Though it has little to do with Joel’s attack, Zack says that he needs to tell Ravi anyway, though Barney implores him not to.<\/p>\n

Vicky is sceptical of Avani’s change in stance stance on Joel’s residence, and begins to suspect that Joel may have threatened her to let him stay. Kat and Alfie attempt to allay her fears, though Ross suspects that they may know something about the attack.<\/p>\n

His suspicions are proven to be correct, with Kat and Alfie revealing that several figures within the community had decided not to inform them. With a recording of the incident being available, Ross decides to call the police – but will he go through with it?<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
