Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt breaks Kit Green’s heart next week by ending their relationship from behind bars<\/a> \u2013 and Jodie Ramsey wastes no time making a move on him.<\/p>\n

The painful split comes as Sarah takes the tough decision to protect Kit’s career and safety by ending things, leaving him free to start again without her. <\/p>\n

However, Sarah probably didn’t expect Jodie to move in on him at breakneck speed. The big question is whether broken-hearted Kit will fall into Jodie’s arms\u2026<\/p>\n

Even before Jodie homes in on Kit, Sarah is having a rotten week. Having caught the attention of some seriously scary inmates, things get violent when Sarah is attacked. <\/p>\n

Bethany is beside herself to see her poor mum in such a bad way, no matter how much Sarah tries to play it all down. But while Bethany and Kit are determined to help, it’s not long before Sarah makes a big decision.<\/p>\n

“Sarah knows that Kit has stood by her, but at a huge cost,” points out our spy. “His career is on the line as it is not a good look for a detective to have a partner in the nick.<\/p>\n

“She did the crime and now it looks certain Sarah will be doing some significant time, so the only thing she can do to prove how much she loves Kit is to finish with him \u2013 and give him a chance at the happy future they once envisioned together.”<\/p>\n

For Kit, Sarah’s decision is absolutely devastating, and he turns to the bottle to cope. While it’s understandable that he wants to sink a few drinks to forget, Kit makes the mistake of telling Jodie that he’s been dumped. Before he’s had a chance to drown his sorrows, Jodie is sidling up to offer a shoulder to cry on.<\/p>\n

“Jodie’s playing a dangerous game by targeting Kit,” teases our spy. “She has a very shady past that she presumably wouldn’t want under police scrutiny. She must also know that Shona has already had a fling with Kit too, making him dangerously close to completing a full house if he carries on like this.”<\/p>\n

But while Jodie is trying to lure Kit, Sarah gets a glimmer of hope when she’s befriended by a fellow inmate. Kacey listens as Sarah talks about how worried she is about her kids and her ex-partner. <\/p>\n

When Kacey reveals that everyone knows she was with a copper, Sarah is terrified that she’ll be targeted. However, Kacey promises to protect her. Is she to be trusted?<\/p>\n

“Sarah is a desperate woman and she’s in grave danger,” continues our insider. “Kacey is her only hope right now and Sarah’s so grateful for her, especially when Kacey offers to look out for her. But it’s rare for people to do these sorts of favours in prison without an ulterior motive, so Sarah may find that Kacey is too good to be true.”<\/p>\n

Will Sarah’s faith in Kacey be misplaced, or is she the friend Sarah needs most in her darkest hour?<\/p>\n
