Emmerdale reveals a major update for Billy Fletcher tonight, following his mysterious attack<\/a>. Doctors confirm he will be brought out of his coma tomorrow \u2013 but will he remember what happened and who hit him? <\/p>\n

Last week, Billy was found unconscious at the depot with a nasty head wound, before being rushed to hospital. Having discovered Billy recently kissed Dawn Fletcher, vengeful Joe Tate was the prime suspect for the attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Joe maintained his innocence and, with no sufficient evidence, the police were forced to let him go. However, as the news spreads around the village, it’s clear that the locals aren’t convinced. <\/p>\n

In tonight’s episode, Joe and his fianc\u00e9e Dawn<\/a> discuss his arrest, which she told her kids was a just a big “mix-up”. But after pushing them for the truth, Billy’s recent flame Gabby Thomas is horrified to learn about the kiss. <\/p>\n

At the Woolpack, Kerry Pollard continues to voice her theory about Joe, adamant that he was responsible for the attack. Given his shady history, the villagers agree with Kerry and share hope for his downfall. <\/p>\n

When Joe and Dawn arrive, the others make it clear that he isn’t welcome, with Kerry listing his many wrongdoings in the past. She questions Dawn’s integrity for protecting the man who attacked her children’s father. <\/p>\n

“You know that he killed Amy. You know that he ripped another man’s kidney out of his body. You know that you’re marrying a monster<\/a>,” she says. “You’ve still got a chance to get away from him. Please, Dawn. For you, for the kids, take the chance.”<\/p>\n

Later, Dawn joins Gabby at the hospital to check on Billy. Dawn tries to explain that there are no lingering feelings between her and her ex-husband<\/a>, reiterating that she’s marrying Joe. <\/p>\n

The pair are interrupted by a doctor who says she has news about Billy’s condition. When Dawn returns home she relays the information to Joe, telling him Billy is being brought out of his coma tomorrow. <\/p>\n

“So hopefully, he wakes up and tells us exactly what happened,” she declares, with Joe looking concerned. <\/p>\n
