The trick here is Carbotech, Panerai\u2019s proprietary composite made by compressing sheets of carbon fiber with a polymer called PEEK under serious heat and pressure. The brand pegs it at 64% lighter than titanium and a ridiculous 80% lighter than steel.<\/p>\n

Panerai debuted the stuff back in 2015 on the Submersible PAM00616, and it\u2019s been a house specialty ever since.
