Well, that trio will be forever remembered for the July 2026 box office, but that now seems thanks to their involvement in another of the month’s biggest movies. After it debuted last weekend, Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a> has already earned numerous records and widespread praise from fans and critics alike.<\/p>\n

Considered “the best Spidey adventure in 20 years” by Collider’s Charlie Ridgley<\/a>, Brand New Day has smashed expectations by not just achieving the largest preview haul in history with $72 million, and the biggest opening day with almost $170 million, but the biggest opening weekend in domestic cinema history<\/a>, edging past the $357 million earned by Avengers: Endgame<\/a> to take top spot. Truly, Brand New Day’s start to box office life couldn’t have gone any better, helping mend the frankly dreadful performance of Marvel’s trio of 2025 releases.<\/p>\n

So, with Holland’s Peter Parker<\/a> on everyone’s minds, thoughts obviously turn to what might be next for Spider-Man? Will the future of the franchise, which was confirmed in the post-credits sequence, still feature Holland in the main role? Thankfully, in a new interview with Variety, Marvel Studios Producer and President Kevin Feige<\/a> has hinted at that very future, saying that “there are always plans” to make more movies with Holland in the titular role, adding, “But right now, he\u2019s going to rest after that global tour. He and Zendaya are going to take a good and restful victory lap, which they very much deserve.”<\/p>\n
